Costs & Payment

Do you have a minimum term?
Minimum term is three calendar months, however, this may change due to demand you will be advised of the current minimum term on enquiry. There are no additional charges and no limit on how much you can store. Any removals under three calendar months will be charged and no refund will be given.

What are your payment terms?
Payment must be made by standing order to be paid into our bank account by the 26th of the month prior to the hire period. For example December rental must be paid by the 26th November. 

Is a storage deposit required?
We require a key deposit of £50, which will be reimbursed when the key is returned at the end of the hire. 

Can I cancel my storage booking? What if I leave part way through a month?
We require one calendar month's notice. I.E. you can let us know anytime in month 1 that you would like to leave, you will be asked to vacate by the end of month 2. Month 2 will be charged as normal. 

Inform us on the 15th October, we will ask for you to be vacated by the 30th November. If you leave part way through a month you will still be charged for the full month as this enables us to keep the storage simple and costs low. 

What happens if I lose my key?
If you lose your key you will need to report it to us as soon as possible. We will have to replace the lock, this incurs a charge of £50.

Access

When can I access my storage container?
You can access the Lincoln Self-Storage containers using your mobile phone, and we supply individual locks and keys for the storage container. You will be able to access your container 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. 

Are there any extra charges to access storage?
No extra charges, just the monthly storage cost. 

How easy is it to access my self storage unit?
We have vehicle access to all our containers. You can drive right up to your self storage unit which means it is easy to bring and take goods. You will not need to use trolleys or navigate narrow corridors to get to your belongings. 

How do you enter the site?
You enter the site using your mobile phone. 

Insulation & Insurance

Are your containers insulated?
The containers are roof insulated which creates a seamless vapour barrier of insulation - this helps to prevent things like corrosion and mold. 

Do you offer insurance cover?
We insure the containers but it is your responsibility to insure the contents. We do not offer insurance but there are a number of companies you can contact including, Insurastore, Store Insure and your current home insurance provider. 

Container Information

What size units are available?

All our units are 20ft containers. We may offer other sizes subject to availability. 

Is racking available?
We don't supply racking and no alterations are allowed to the structure of the containers. 

Before You Arrive

What is self storage?
It is do-it yourself storage space for business and domestic customers. All our units are clean and dry. You are the only person with a key to your unit and access is unlimited 24/7. 

When is the office open?
Our Lincoln office is open Monday - Friday 08:30 to 16:00. 

Do I need to bring anything with me?
We ask you to please bring in a form of ID (i.e. passport or driving licence) and proof of address when signing for the container.
